Coinciding with the Jubilee Year 2017 and on the eve of the festivities, Caravaca de la Cruz hosts tomorrow, Saturday 29, the VI Meeting of Music Bands of the Region of Murcia.

The event, which brings together 23 musical groups, with about 1,500 musicians, is organized by the Celebration Committee of the Cofradía de la Vera Cruz, the City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz and the Federation of Bands of the Region of Murcia.

The program of events planned for this meeting will begin with the pilgrimage to the Royal Basilica of the True Cross, at 11.00, on the Paseo de La Corredera.

At 4.30 pm, each of the participating bands and groups will start a parade through the Castle Halls, Paseo de Santa Clara, Las Monjas Street, Plaza del Arco, Gran Via, Maruja Garrido and Templete.

The central act of the meeting will be at 6:00 pm in the Plaza del Templete, when all the bands will play in unison four pieces: the pasodoble "Juanito, El Jarry", directed by Francisco García Alcázar;

"Knights of Navarre", by Victor Manuel Rodrigo García, "Amigo Emilio", by Ignacio Sánchez Navarro, and the anthem of the Federation of Music Bands, with the direction of Víctor Cano.
