The City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz has launched a local public employment program to reinforce the visitor's services and information during the Jubilee Year 2017. This program is funded with about 70,000 euros by the Consistory Carava, the Regional Service Employment and Training (SEF) and the European Social Fund.
"In addition to improving the services of the municipal tourism department and generating jobs, the program allows young people to be trained in a sector that should be a reference in Caravaca, "according to the words of the mayor, José Moreno, who has visited the program together with the SEF general director, Alejandro Zamora, and the Councilor for Tourism, Gloria Gómez.
The employment program has allowed the hiring of five young people, who during the six-month period will hold positions of receptionist both in the Municipal Office of Tourism and the tourist information point located in the Plaza del Arco.
The workers are under 30 years of age and previously enrolled in the National System of Youth Guarantee.
In addition, within this project to promote employment, is the hiring of a monitor for recreational and entertainment activities, which until September will be responsible for guided tours in the Center for Interpretation of Nature and for the Own place of the Fuentes del Marqués, developing leisure activities and research of flora and fauna.
