The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, within the preventive services of citizen security, has intercepted in Caravaca de la Cruz the transport of 100 kilos of aromatic plants harvested illicitly that have been seized.
The holder has been denounced before the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia (CARM).
The events took place when specialized agents in prevention of citizen security, while carrying out a preventive operative device control of people and vehicles in the highway RM-714, at the height of the municipal term of Caravaca de la Cruz.
Among other vehicles, the civil guards stopped a van.
After verifying the documentation of the mixed vehicle and the driver, the agents verified that it carried a great amount of aromatic plants.
Given the lack of mandatory authorization, essential for the use of this type of flora, the driver of the van has been reported to the Ministry of Water, Agriculture and Environment of CARM, for violation of the Forestry Law (43 / 2003).
The 100 kilograms of aromatic plants 70 of thyme and 30 of rosemary have finally been seized.
From the first research carried out, it can be seen that the aromatic plants seized had been collected in an area of ​​public forest located in the municipality of Calasparra.
