The Cultural Association 'Peña La Pava' this year dedicated its popular Bethlehem to Caravaca de la Cruz, on the occasion of the celebration of the Jubilee Year 2017. The inauguration will take place this Sunday, December 18, at 19.00 in the Church San Juan de Dios of Murcia.
The Belén includes a series of replicas of Caravaca monuments and the reproduction of scenes of the feasts in honor of the Santísima and Vera Cruz.
The peña also requested the collaboration of the Bando de los Caballos del Vino to exhibit, together with the Bethlehem, a harnessing, and thus contribute to the promotion of the candidature to Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, since it is one of the nativity scenes Most representative of the Murcia Region, which is visited every Christmas by thousands of people.
The spectacular installation consists of about 50 square meters and is composed of 400 figures of José Antonio Hernández with an exceptional quality, 30 models and an illumination with a hundred outbreaks.
The Belén de 'La Pava', well known for the huertan rock of the same name that makes it, is a must visit for Murcia and anyone who is in the city at this time.
It is characterized by its details in the composition of religious mysteries (the Annunciation, the Inn, etc.) and the figures themselves, which appear to be doing some traditional work in the Murcian garden.
Also recreates in each new edition scenarios and monuments of the Region of Murcia.
