The Department of Youth of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz has launched a program of affective-sexual education, aimed at the adolescent population that studies in the secondary schools of the municipality.
The workshops, aimed at the 3rd year students of ESO, have begun this month of November at the IES 'Ginés Pérez Chirinos' and will take during the present course the remaining centers that have joined the program.
The objective is to provide young people with information that promotes equality and mutual respect in the affective-sexual relationships, dismantling myths and prototypes.
In this way, it aims to strengthen the activities developed by the centers in this area and collaborate with them in education for a more tolerant coexistence.
The program of affective-sexual education is directed by the psychologist and sexologist Charo Espín, a professional with extensive experience in this field, who generates an atmosphere of trust and respect in the classroom, in which young people express their opinion, ask and solve their doubts A positive and enjoyable way.
From the Department of Youth have reported that this program of affective-sexual education was carried out last year at the IES Oróspeda de Archivel, as a pilot experience, and given the acceptance by the students, has been offered to the rest of Secondary schools of the municipality.
