Every Sunday afternoon held free activity 'Fun at the Youth Center'
Workshops, playgroups, adventure travel, schools and training courses in non-formal education are the proposals presented by the Youth Council of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz with the aim to provide children and youth alternatives municipality leisure during weekends.
Councillor responsible for the area, Esther Poveda, have made public the activities included the new edition of the program 'Young Caravaca, which runs from October to December.
Poveda has indicated that the activities promoted by the Youth Council intended "to respond to tastes and demands made by the users of the Youth Center, offering healthy alternatives free time and promote inclusion and integration through leisure".
As for the workshops, "Introduction to Japanese culture and manga '' Skate ',' Creating puppets', 'Meditation for Children', 'Kitchen Mini Chefs' and' Education Equity 'are offered.
The leisure offer is complemented with training courses 'Volunteer', 'Techniques and resources to work in leisure time with children and youth with disabilities', 'Teaching Tales' and 'Sign Language'.
One of the new activities of the new programming 'Caravaca Young' are the 'Adventure Travel', which consist of excursions to participate in various activities related to adventure sports such as rafting, canyoning or bungee jumping.
For the second consecutive year, offering the 'Municipal School of Theatre' as training space and artistic creation.
This school, which will be headed by a monitor- degree in Dramatic Arts, will be held on Friday afternoon, in different age groups.
Continuing efforts to promote integration and social inclusion, the Youth Council will continue to organize the Saturday afternoon 'The toy library', open to the participation of children with and without disabilities.
This activity will also take place in some of the districts in order to decentralize the supply of the Youth Centre and bring it closer to young people and children living outside the village.
Moreover, the Youth Center will continue to host varied and free activities every Sunday afternoon in the initiative called 'Fun at the Youth Center. "
