The "Euroacción" Association, in collaboration with the Youth Council, is organizing a Youth Exchange in Caravaca de la Cruz, funded by the European Programme, Erasmus +.
The Councillor for Education and Youth, Esther Poveda, has been welcoming in the Youth Center, 30 students from Italy, Armenia, Ireland, Denmark and Romania, participating in this exchange, entitled "Beyond the Skin "(below the skin), whose theme is emotions through body language and dance.
From 2 to 10 August, these young people will carry out activities in our municipality, they will be housed in the hamlet of Los Prados (Casa del Trigo), but will perform activities in the morning at the Youth Center Caravaca also have planned visits different areas of cultural and tourist interests of our town, like the Museum of Ethnic Music Barranda and other museums in the city, besides visiting other places in the region.
During these days, young people have the opportunity to make learning about body language and dance, body techniques, yoga and biodanza addition to live an intercultural experience when entering contact youth from different cultures and countries.
At night, each group will perform a sample of their culture in a dynamic and fun to promote intercultural learning that way.
On August 9, at 20:30, young people made a public display at the Glorieta.
This exchange is part of European mobility actions, which develops from the Youth Council of the City of Caravaca, to promote European learning experiences to promote cultural learning of young people in our town.
European Youth Exchanges are intended to:
· To transmit knowledge about emotions and the ability to express them.
· Enhancing expression and body mobility of young participants.
· To provide participants with a space for networking and networks to create a European project to combat racism and xenophobia through intercultural experiences in first person.
Facilitate the acquisition of communication skills and teamwork.
