The City of Caravaca de la Cruz and the Association of Families of People with Disabilities APCOM have launched the 'field experiences workshop.
We hear his gaze ', with the aim of making visible needs of people with physical and / or intellectual and daily work performed by professionals Day Centre and Residence Great Dependents' Snowflake'.
The mayor, José Moreno, has today welcomed the students, together with the Councillor for Education and Youth, Esther Poveda, and the president and manager of the Apcom, Antonio Castillo and José María Rodríguez, respectively association.
In the opening he has also participated Teresa Guirao, one of the professionals who will teach this theoretical and practical workshop.
José Moreno has stated that "this course is celebrated this year as a pilot, since the idea is that the Department of Youth turn it into a labor camp for next summer, to be more extensive and offered one greater number of places. "
For its part, the mayor of Youth and Education, Esther Poveda, has been satisfied with the response that it has obtained the first edition of 'Field of Experiences', since there have been more than 40 people for the 12 places available.
Attendees are interested in volunteering and in the related field of disability to work.
Over a week, they will know firsthand the Day Centre and Residence Great Dependents 'Snowflake', collaborating in the development of activities aimed at users, such as those of 'Relaxation', 'Aromatherapy' 'Stimulation', 'multisensory therapy', 'social skills' and 'cognitive stimulation', among others.
"In addition we also want the students themselves bring us their experiences and their vision of the world of disability, so that the center also leave enriched," remarked Teresa Guirao.
