The Mountaineers have left Caravaca de la Cruz this morning, towards the first base camp, located at 3,600 meters above sea level, where they will begin the ascent.
Ahead, an expedition of 23 days, with three weeks of acclimatization to the altitude and three base camps, situated at 4,400, 5,300 and 6,100 meters.
If all goes as planned, it is expected to reach the summit between 27 and 30 July.

Lenin peak or peak Ibn Sina is a mountainous elevation located in the Pamir range, particularly in the domains border between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
It belongs to the Trans-Alay mountain range and its summit reaches 7,165 meters above sea level, making it the second highest mountain in Tajikistan, after the peak Ismail Samani, and the third of the former Soviet Union.
The first ascent took place in 1928, and was conducted by an international expedition of Russian, German and Austrian climbers.
