Councillor for Health, Maria Jose Soria, held a meeting with their counterparts in other municipalities in the Northwest and representatives of the Evolve Association, collective district created to defend the rights of animals, promote respect for nature and raise awareness animal abuse.
During this first meeting between the municipalities and Evolves they talked about the desirability of creating a worktable to act in a united and coordinated in creating policies for the protection of animals.
Also, the need for updating or developing municipal regulations concerning the compulsory introduction of microchip identification system or the regularization of sterilization was addressed.
Evolve municipal and representatives will also study the possibility of creating a shelter for abandoned animals.
