The Caravaca City Council launches a new service to make it easier for residents to obtain the Digital Certificate (27/11/2020)

Thanks to an agreement with the National Currency and Stamp Factory, the City Council acts as the Digital Certificate Registration Office, the electronic equivalent of an Identity Document that allows the telematic completion of numerous procedures with public administrationsThe dependencies of the Citizen Service area - where the General Registry, the One-Stop Shop, the Complaints and Suggestions Office and the Consumer Service Office are located - have been remodeled with the dual objective of ensuring the health safety of workers and users and ensure that the citizen receives more comfortable and individualized attentionThe start-up of this service is accompanied by an informative and educational campaign on social networks and the media so that the neighbors know the process to follow and discover the multiple uses and the comfort of being in possession of the Digital CertificateBefore going to the Town Hall, the citizen must access the website of the National Currency and Stamp Factory from his computer to receive an application codeThanks to a collaboration agreement with the National Currency and Stamp Factory, the Caravaca de la Cruz City Council incorporates a new free service to the Citizen Service area to obtain the Digital Certificate.In this way, Caravaqueños will be able to have in a simpler way this certification that certifies their identity as a natural person and allows them to carry out numerous procedures electronically, not only with the local administration, but with the rest of administrations and organizations, such as the Tax Agency or Social Security."The objective of this new service is to bring electronic administration closer to the citizen, since trips to municipal offices or other entities are avoided", as highlighted by the Councilor for Transparency and Citizen Services, Laura Sánchez, who added that "If this was necessary in a normalized situation in order to adapt to technologies, streamline procedures, and avoid queues or waiting, now, in this health alert situation, it is more important than ever, since physical presence is avoided" .Laura Sánchez Domenech has also stated that "the start-up of this service is accompanied by an informative and educational campaign on social networks and the media so that neighbors know the process to follow and discover the multiple utilities and the comfort of being in possession of the digital certificate ".For her part, the councilor responsible for the Human Resources area has reported that "the dependencies of the Citizen Service area -where services such as the General Registry, the One-Stop Shop, the Office of Complaints and Suggestions and the Office of Attention to the Consumer- they have been remodeled with the double objective of ensuring the health safety of workers and users and ensuring that citizens receive more comfortable and individualized care ".Councilors Ana Belén Martínez and Laura Sánchez also wanted to highlight the commitment of the Caravaca de la Cruz City Council and for electronic administration, with a constantly updated headquarters, while they have advanced new measures such as the upcoming incorporation of a footbridge for payment of taxes and fees."The changes made in both electronic and face-to-face administration are carried out to facilitate, personalize and improve the quality of the services provided to citizens", they pointed out.A Digital Certificate is the electronic equivalent to an Identity Document that allows us to identify ourselves and electronically sign different documents and messages.The Caravaca de la Cruz City Council will act from now on as the Digital Certificate Registration Office.
