The City of Caravaca and the association 'Unity and Fraternity' have prepared, jointly and by consensus with the municipal political groups, a program of activities for next March
Caravaca de la Cruz joins the celebration of the 'Fraternity Day', with different activities organized by the Association 'Unity and Fraternity', in close collaboration with the City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz, through its departments of Education and Social services.
To this end, a program of events has been agreed with the three political groups represented in the Municipal Corporation, which includes the convening of a drawing contest, aimed at children in Primary and Primary education;
a short story contest for middle school students;
two round tables to address the fraternity from different areas of society, and the institutional act, which will take place in the Plenary Hall on Saturday, March 21.
The Consistory of Caracas approved its adhesion to the Association Cities for the Fraternity (CxF), in which other municipalities of Extremadura, Catalonia, Valencia and Aragon are currently participating.
The local association 'Unity and Fraternity', of Caravaca de la Cruz, is also part of the project, together with other associations in the Basque Country, Madrid, Murcia, Valencia and Barcelona.
The statutes of the aforementioned association expressly mention the commitment acquired by the entities that are part of CxF to promote activities to celebrate the Fraternity Day, which is celebrated on March 23.
The first round table will take place on Wednesday, March 11, at 8:00 p.m., in the House of Culture 'Emilio Sáez', with the title 'The fraternity, the economy and politics'.
It will have the participation of the professor of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena Manuel Sánchez Nieto and the president of 'Political movement for unity', Nieves Cruz Barrientos.
It will be presented and moderated by the president of the caravaqueña association 'Unity and fraternity', María del Carmen Giménez Corbalán,
On March 23 the second round table will take place, with the title 'Fraternity, young people and politics' and participation of the president of New Generations of the Popular Party, Francisco José García, and the secretary general of Socialist Youth in the Region of Murcia, Miguel Ortega.
In this case, he presents and moderates the president of the ACLF Aljucer Association, Antonio Zaragoza González.
