The City Council enables a citizen service point to request assistance from the ´Historical Housing Rehabilitation Plan´ (04/12/2019)

The first days that the information and advice point will provide service will be on Wednesday, December 11 and 18

The City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz launches a Citizen Service Point to inform and advise residents interested in applying for the subsidies of the 'Housing Rehabilitation Plan of the Historic District', whose call opens at the beginning of the year.

The first two days he will serve will be December 11 and 18, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"The objective that is the information reaches all property owners within the scope of action, which covers a total of 79 streets, for which we will also carry out actions at street level," according to the councilor who directs the area of Urbanism, Mónica Sánchez.

The mayor advanced that free technical advice will be provided to facilitate the procedure for requesting aid, whose total amount amounts to 1,560,000 euros.

The Town Planning Councilor accompanied by the technician responsible for said citizen assistance office, David Cobarro- stressed that "this rehabilitation plan is promoted and managed by the City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz, within the call for 'Urban regeneration aid and rural 2019 (ARRUR) ', which is financed with regional and state funds. "

The plan will be developed from 2019 until 2021, through three calls, with 60 actions for the rehabilitation of real estate, plus improvement projects in public spaces that will be carried out by the Consistory itself.

"It is an important investment to look back at our historic center and give it more life and comfort," said Mónica Sánchez.

The aid is divided into three types of actions: 'Conservation of structure, roofs, facades and interiors of single-family homes', 'Improvement of security and accessibility' and 'Energy efficiency and sustainability actions'.

The eligible amounts may be up to 17,400 euros per dwelling.

INFORMATION POINT

The citizen service office of the 'Housing Rehabilitation Plan of the Historic District' will be located at the Tourist Information Point, in Plaza del Arco Square corner with Cuesta Castillo Street.

It will be operational from 09:00 to 14:00 hours, during the following days:

- December: Wednesday 11 and 18.

- January: Wednesday 8, 15, 22 and 29

- February: Wednesday 5 and 12
