The Socialist deputy of Caravaca, Consa Martínez, will debate next Wednesday in the Commission of Territorial Policy of the Regional Assembly of Murcia, a motion presented by the Socialist Parliamentary Group, requesting the Regional Government to urgently carry out the works of unfolding the road of access to Caravaca de la Cruz from the entrance roundabout to the city.

The city of Caravaca has a clear deficiency of access to its urban center derived from a bad initial approach to the works of the RM-15 highway that connects this town in the northwest with the capital of the Region of Murcia, thus generating a multitude of problems for the thousands of drivers who travel through this route daily.

According to statements by the caravaqueña deputy "Our city, unlike other neighboring towns, has only one exit from the highway to the town center. In addition to this lack, it coincides that the exit of the highway connects with the road that It directs towards the Industrial Estate of Cavila, as well as to numerous districts of Caravaca and Moratalla, in addition to the connection with the province of Granada, causing daily situations of collapse, which people who travel through this route have to suffer and that are increased in certain periods of the year, with a greater influx of visitors and tourists. "

To all these circumstances, we must add the fact that most of the public services of the Northwest Region are located in Caravaca.

In this sense, Consa Martínez said: "We have to take into account that because of the population weight, as it is the administrative, judicial and sanitary center of the entire Northwest Region, and due to the continuous influx of tourism, it is a priority to carry out a doubling action that has double lane for each direction of traffic on this crossing. "

Therefore, the need to improve the conditions of this road is urgently needed to increase traffic flow, and the safety and comfort of its users.

It is a necessary action and of social interest for the city of Caravaca de la Cruz.
