The City Council of Caravaca will have a lawyer and a general administration technician to improve municipal management and expedite procedures (31/10/2019)

The ordinary Plenary also unanimously approved an institutional declaration supporting the State Security Forces and Bodies and condemning the violent events experienced in Catalonia

The City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz has unanimously approved all political groups in session of the ordinary Plenary to modify the Relationship of Jobs to include two positions: one of general administration technician and another of municipal lawyer, in order to improve Municipal management and expedite procedures.

"With the incorporation of the post of General Administration technician, it is intended to offer greater efficiency in the management of public resources, ensuring that public procurement conforms to the principles of freedom of access to tenders, publicity and transparency of procedures and not discrimination and equality, with the aim of expediting procedures, "explained the Councilor for Personnel, Ana Belén Martínez.

Regarding the inclusion of a position of Municipal Lawyer, the mayor has argued that the head municipal employee is in a situation of low work, so it is necessary to replace it temporarily.

"The lawyer performs legal assistance to the City Council, solving a variety of situations in the day to day, both citizens and employees, which make their presence necessary," added the councilor.

As for the rest of the points addressed in the plenary session, at the proposal of the Department of Urban Planning, the disinfection of the public road "Camino de Casa y Corral de Montero 'of this municipal term was initially approved.

Next, the political groups support the motion of the Socialist Municipal Group on the reforms in the Singla drinking water network, which correct the deficiencies that cause inconvenience to residents of that district.

The motion of the Socialist Group on the situation of the Mar Menor had the abstention of the PP and Citizens and the votes in favor of the PSOE.

Among the points of agreement is to urge the Governing Council of the Region of Murcia so that it, in turn, urges the Government of Spain to declare urgently the measures and initiatives of its competence for the recovery of the Mar Menor.

Likewise, the text asks the Government of the Region of Murcia to present an Extraordinary Regional Plan for the Recovery of the Mar Menor and the presentation to the Regional Assembly of the Draft Law for the Comprehensive Protection of the Mar Menor, among other points.

The motion of the Municipal Municipal Group to ask the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura (CHS) to clean the waterways to prevent or minimize damage in storms was approved with the votes in favor of PP and Citizens and the votes against the PSOE.

The proposal argued that the cleaning of these channels has not been carried out by the CHS, the reasons being unknown and being the competence of this body.

The Plenary approved unanimously an institutional declaration presented by the Popular Group of support to the State Security Forces and Bodies, especially for the events that have occurred in recent weeks in Catalonia.

In said declaration, the City Council of Caravaca reaffirms its rejection of any manifestation of violence and its commitment to the defense of the Constitution, the current legality and the principles, rights and freedoms that emanate from it, while expressing a firm condemnation of the violent acts carried out in recent days by radical elements in Catalonia.

In the turn of requests and questions, the Socialist Group made several consultations on different matters.
