The mayor and the counselor of the Presidency, together with the ediles de Obras y Urbanismo, have visited some of the projects tendered by the Consistory at the end of last year.

The advisor of the acting Presidency, Pedro Rivera, and the mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, José Francisco García, together with the councilors of Works and Urbanism, José Antonio Sánchez and Mónica García, respectively, have visited the improvement works that are being running on Elías Los Arcos street.
This is one of the actions included in the latest Works and Services Plan, financed by the Government of the Region of Murcia with 487,000 euros.
"The Works and Services Plan is a municipal tool that the Autonomous Community puts very well available to the municipalities, providing them with economic funds to help alleviate the deficit in infrastructure, equipment and services," said the mayor , José Francisco García.
The mayor pointed out that "thanks to this plan, the City hired at the end of last year a dozen actions, with a global budget of 518,564 euros, of which 31,000 euros are municipal contribution and the rest comes from the regional administration."
Also, José Francisco García has informed that to complete the plan is going to tender an improvement project in the neighborhood of Extremadura, with replacement of the sign and replacement of signaling, with a budget of 100,700 euros, "something that has been possible with the improvement introduced by the Government of the Region of Murcia that allows that with the declines in the tenders other actions can be undertaken until the subsidy received is exhausted ".
Counselor Pedro Rivera has indicated that the funds that are provided with the Works and Services Plan are distributed according to the size of the municipality and the number of districts.
"The City of Caravaca has received nearly 500,000 euros for the 2018 and 2019 annuities, to which are added the 200,000 received in 2017, which has made it possible to respond to different needs and demands raised by the neighbors through works contracted by the own city council, something that will continue in the next years with new plans ".
Among the projects financed through the last Works and Services Plan is the renewal of potable water and sewerage networks in two areas of Barrio Nuevo Bajo, Juan Carlos I and Severo Ochoa, the improvement of road sign and lighting in Juan Carlos sports courts I, the regularization of the sign in streets adjacent to the main street of Barranda, the renewal of public lighting in the neighborhood of Santa Bárbara de Archivel, etcetera.
