The mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, José Moreno, accompanied by the Councilor for Employment, Antonio Donate, has handed over the diplomas to the 20 student-workers who have been part of the mixed employment and training program for the adaptation and implementation value of the place of the Fuentes del Marqués and other public spaces of the municipality.
This program has been taught over a year, divided into two specialties: 'Cleaning of open spaces and industrial facilities' and 'Auxiliary operations in nurseries, gardens and garden centers'.
During its development, numerous improvement actions have been carried out in the streets, squares and green spaces of the municipality.
Similarly, work has been carried out in the municipal nursery, located in the area of ​​the Fountains, in order to provide plants to parks and gardens.
José Moreno recalled that these programs meet a dual objective, which is the training and employment of people in unemployment and the beautification of public spaces.
He also thanked the work developed by student-workers and teachers during the duration of the project.
This mixed employment and training program has had a total budget of 326,969 euros, of which 313,095 euros are subsidized by the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF) and the European Social Fund (ESF) and the remaining 13,813 are contributed by the City Council of Caravaca.
Through this training project, the student-workers have obtained the maximum certificate of professionalism, which will improve their opportunities to join the labor market.
