The caravan group 'Crazy to dance', Dafne Dance Academy, participates next Saturday, March 30, in the national final of the European contest Dancing Start 'Live your dream', which is held at the Palacio de Congresos de Ávila.
The Councilor for Sports, María José Soria, has visited them in the penultimate training session before the big date to wish them luck this coming weekend, both the group and the young Ana Navarro who participates in the soloist modality.
The 15 girls, between 9 and 14 years old, are from Caravaca de la Cruz and two of them from Calasparra and Bullas.
All will fight for the first prize that would take them directly to the European final in Rome next July. In the discipline in which they compete, 'showdance', 43 groups from all over the country will participate.
It is the circumstance that 'Crazy to dance' is the only one of its discipline in the Region of Murcia.
In addition, one of the girls, Ana Navarro 'Little Queen', will compete alone on Sunday morning.
In this event, 4,000 people will participate in the disciplines of flamenco, Spanish dance, urban dances, classical, contemporary, showdance, freestyle and zumba of all age categories.
From the academy, Pepi Giménez has been very satisfied with the work that the girls are doing, since this call came as a surprise, when they were selected in Águilas two months ago when the girls went to exhibition in the qualifying phase by communities.
For that event, Miriam Espín (coach of the group), prepared two choreographies that the small ones worked in only 15 days.
