The Minister of Health backs Moreno to stand for re-election (24/03/2019)

«We begin a new period, with a renewed list and with people of several generations, where all the groups of society are reflected».

With these words, the mayor, José Moreno, qualified yesterday for the next municipal elections.

The list was presented last night at the House of Culture Emilio Sáez, in an act that was attended by the Minister of Health, Consumption and Social Welfare, Maria Luisa Carcedo.

There was no lack of government delegate, Diego Conesa, who also had words of encouragement for Moreno.

And Patxi Lopez, who was in Caravaca four years ago, joined the event through a video in which he apologized for not being able to be present on this occasion.

«Four years ago I presented José Moreno and I saw him full of desire for change.

I know it's a piece of mayor who kicks the whole city, who listens to the neighbors;

I have not seen him in Caravaca, but in Madrid, in the Congress of Deputies and in the ministries to ask and claim things for his city, "said Patxi Lopez in the video screening.

He added that "we need Joseph to remain mayor;

now it is no longer a promise, it is a person who is a reference of that socialism.

I think you have the best 'rock' mayor in Spain and I hope to continue enjoying your friendship and your company for a long time ».

For his part, José Moreno highlighted the egalitarian nature of the candidacy.

"We are alternating men and women because equality is not just a word to put on the electoral program and forget it.

It is something that we put into practice because we are a party committed to what we propose ».

Moreno explained that "the candidacy is formed by a group of workers who are engaged in different groups and associations in our municipality;

it is a renewed list, with great enthusiasm, and with a commitment to the future that generates confidence ».

Along with José Moreno, five of the councilors of the Municipal Socialist Group (María José Soria, who goes up to number 2, Gloria Gómez (4), Jesús Sánchez (5), Enrique Fuente (9) and Ana Luisa Marcos (14) repeat. .

Among the people that join the list include José Juan López, who was president of the Bando de los Caballos del Vino;

Gloria López, who runs a hotel in the center of the town;

Pepe Santillana, who was previously part of the socialist governments;

the actress María Reyes Aznar, Gema Robles and Juan Carlos Castillo, current general secretary of the Socialist Youth.

Minister Carcedo said during the presentation that "being here, in a town hall governed by the PSOE, is a guarantee that policies for the needy will be carried out in the municipality."
