The mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, José Moreno, presided over the Police Coordination Table for Gender Violence, which includes the Civil Guard, Local Police and technicians of the Center for Attention to Women Victims of Violence of Gender (CAVI) and the Commonwealth of Social Services of the Northwest.
The Coordinator of Gender Violence of the Government Delegation, Luisa Barreda, also participated.
The priority objective of the roundtable is to periodically carry out an individualized follow-up of both the victims and their abusers to improve coordination among the security forces and guarantee greater protection for women who have filed a complaint.
In parallel, the Caravaqueño Consistory also calls biannually the Local Table against Gender Violence, in which, in addition to the security bodies, other professionals participate as representatives of educational centers, health care services and technicians of the municipal departments of Education, Youth and Social Services to join efforts in the fight against gender violence and plan awareness and prevention actions aimed at the population.
