The House-Museum of the Horses of the Wine hosted a working meeting to promote the professional qualification of embroidery, which was attended by the mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, José Moreno;

of the General Director of Vocational Training and Special Education Teaching, Sergio López, and the director of the National Institute of Qualifications (INCUAL) of the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, Mariano Carballo, as well as technicians of the aforementioned body and a large group of embroiderers Caravaca

The main objective of this meeting was for the INCUAL technicians to see firsthand how the embroidery is made for the harnessing of the Caballos del Vino.

In this sense, the director advanced that "deadlines and commitments have already been established because we have proven that there are opportunities for the present and the future and, in addition, it is something of justice".

The mayor of Caravaca stressed that "it is essential to care for and maintain this jewel that are the Caballos del Vino that the art of embroidery is transmitted from generation to generation and that it is also a possible work outlet with professional recognition".

In addition, it advanced that the City of Caravaca de la Cruz will prepare the last floor of the House-Museum of the Horses of Wine, through funding Leader, so that it can host workshops and employment programs related to the sector of the embroidery.

For his part, the director of Vocational Training and Special Education Teaching, Sergio López, said that "the recognition of professional qualifications will favor more than 600 embroiderers, mainly concentrated in Caravaca de la Cruz and Lorca, and will be a milestone for this art. as a professional job with a future vocation ".

With the definition of the professional qualification it is expected that in the near future the title may be officially published and allow to define and impart certificates of professionalism and related training cycles.

In this way the possibility of training to cover the needs of the sector is ensured.

It will also allow providing current workers, who develop their work without adequate recognition, accreditation of their competence with an official title, through calls Prear (Procedure of Recognition, Evaluation, Accreditation and Registration).
