The municipal group of citizens has demanded the implementation of an Integral Plan of Sports Facilities, "that provides a solution not only to the worrying situation of the Caravaca Sports Center, but to all the facilities of municipal ownership".
This was explained by the local spokesman, José Carlos Gómez, who believes that "it is time to implement a long-term project for all practitioners of local sport, after the bad bidding by the Popular Party and no further management on the part of the socialist government team have led to one of the sports epicenters of Caravaca de la Cruz at the end, with the risk of seriously harming their workers and generating a serious shortage for many local athletes.
Gomez has highlighted that Caravaca de la Cruz is the main regional triathlon quarry, providing regional champions and runners-up in the categories of children, youth and cadet, as well as achieving a fourth place at the national level, which has given a prize to the promotion sporty.
"In turn, for athletes both schoolchildren and adults who practice swimming, it is essential to have a pool within the framework of municipal facilities," added the local orange spokesman.
Citizens demand a solution for the situation of the Sports Center of Caravaca, since "we believe it is urgent to draw a non-electoral strategy and with a view to the future for the entire local sports infrastructure.
You have to analyze all the facilities and their condition, study the deficiencies and develop a plan that allows us to continue growing and improving over the years, "says Gómez.
