From the Department of Human Resources and Security, Traffic and Emergencies of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, we have to clarify the note published by the Federation of Public Services of UGT-Murcia Region:
First, it does not correspond to information sent by the representatives of the local police belonging to the aforementioned union and, secondly, because the agreements adopted (improvements in material means) will be launched soon, as the municipal economic situation allows.
As for the payment of extraordinary services, which will be paid in the shortest possible time, it is motivated by the lack of economic resources in the budget line corresponding to the current fiscal year.
This concept is difficult to quantify beforehand, taking into account the large number of events of all kinds (sports, cultural, holidays, etc.) that take place both in the urban area and in the districts.
Making it clear that municipal employees have charged all the concepts of their ordinary payroll.
Regarding the saving of more than 200,000 euros in insurance, rentals and towing services, they should know that these are different budgetary concepts, whose link does not extend to bonuses for extraordinary services, nor to the police in particular or to the rest of municipal employees in general.
During the celebration of the Medieval Market on the December bridge, the local police attended all the notices received with the usual staff during the 24 hours;
providing the following services: 8 warnings on day 6;
11 on day 7, 13 on day 8 and 11 on day 9, all solved satisfactorily.
As for the purchase of vehicles, last May a new patrol car was acquired and the entire staff was provided with summer uniformity.
The new wardrobe and the next vehicle to be purchased by the municipality of Caravaca de la Cruz are pending publication in the BORM for their tender.
Depending on the budget availability and after the favorable report of the Financial Controller, this expense is authorized and the corresponding credit retention is carried out in order to authorize the same, in this way we ensure that it does not happen as in the past that was spent without control and the pending invoices remained unpaid in the drawers.
When we authorize an expense it is because it is adjusted to the legality.
On the other hand, we are negotiating the possible transfer of the local police units to new facilities that meet better conditions for both agents and citizens.
Regarding the negotiations of the Framework Agreement and the List of Jobs, we are in constant dialogue and reaching agreements, for example the payment of 100% of the salary from the first day of sick leave, both for officials and staff labor, a matter that was approved in the plenary session of November with the support of all the political groups.
All negotiations proceed respecting equality and without discriminating against any worker.
We regret and express our displeasure at the statements published in the media, which have occurred without having been contrasted with this Government Team as in previous occasions.
