The Scout Group 'Cueva Negra' of Caravaca de la Cruz will make the first solidary collection of toys and food on 15 December.
An initiative that aims not only to help the people to whom the resources are destined, but also to teach its young members the importance of collaborating together to make a better world.
The initiative will count on the collaboration of the Red Cross, which will be in charge of distributing the donated toys that day, as part of its national collection campaign.
For this reason we ask the caravaqueños that the toys they intend to donate are new, non-sexist and not warlike, since they are the ones they can distribute, for reasons of regulations and hygiene.
For the distribution of food we have the Association of Friends of the Saharawi People, and we will emphasize the collection of non-perishable food, as they will not be consumed immediately.
Even so, every donation will be well received and the scout group will ensure that it reaches those who need it most.
The initiative will be carried out at two collection points in the city, one located in the Plaza de San Juan, where we will also be holding a paint shop for all children who pass by;
and the other located in the Informajoven of Caravaca, where we will have a pigeonhole during the whole activity to thank for the donations, it is also where we will collect all the donations.
On the other hand, a group of 'scouters' and children from the sections will make a tour of the homes of our neighbors caravaqueños to inform, who still does not know our initiative, and facilitate donation to those people who for any reason can not leave From home.
The activity will be held only on Saturday December 15 from 10:00 to 18:00, with which we hope to help many people who need it and make known the scouting in a place where we are very new but we arrived loaded of illusions and ideas for making a better world.
