Nearly 400 people, mostly students from the different catering schools in the Region of Murcia, have participated in 'Sopa de Letras', an event in which leading chefs and professionals from various fields have talked about gastronomy linked to emotional intelligence, the theme that focuses this second edition.
The opening of 'Sopa de letras', where the world of cooking merges with other disciplines, has been carried out by the mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, José Moreno;
the general director of Vocational Training and Teachings of Special Regime of the Ministry of Education, Sergio López, and the provincial delegate of the international organization 'Euro-Toques', Firo Vázquez.
The Mayor thanked 'Euro-touches' for Caravaca de la Cruz for the second year to host this innovative event, with which through a multidisciplinary program is able to go beyond the usual canons of hospitality and place this activity as a source of tourism, knowledge, culture and science.
'Sopa de Letras' was created under the umbrella of the 'Diálogos de Cocina' event in San Sebastián, sharing the need to expand the art and craft of restoration through the sharing of different disciplines with a nexus that links them.
The event is organized by the association 'Euro-Toques Murcia', in collaboration with the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, the School of Hospitality of La Flota, the Center for Tourism Qualification of Murcia and the communication website 'The absurdity of Javi ', as well as other institutions and companies in the Region.
Directed to students, professionals and the general public, in 'Sopa de Letras' questions have been formulated as: Does the chef or waiter need to develop emotional intelligence to feel and transmit to his guests what he is looking for? the possible undesirable feelings in front of a team or room problem ?, How does it influence in the management of equipment ?, Does the design of the restaurant affect the customer's experience? Do all the dishes and products offered require the same empathic level? How does the use of language affect the daily life of a restaurant?
and Is the mood fundamental in emotional communication ?, among other issues.
If last year participated Andoni Luis Aduriz, Magdalena Sánchez or the award winners' Jamones con Tacones', in this edition attendees have enjoyed presentations such as Luis Castellanos, author of 'Educar en lenguaje positivo' and 'La ciencia del lenguaje positivo ';
Ăńigo Lavado, chef and owner of 'Singular';
Enrique Barrera, professor of Interior Design at the University School of Design, Innovation and Technology of Madrid;
Ana Peinado, PhD in Psychology;
Arturo González-Campos, scriptwriter, author and comedian;
among other confirmations.
The closing 'Sopa de letras' goes hand in hand with singer-songwriter Moy Gomar, with a concert entitled 'Music for the soul'.
