The City of Caravaca de la Cruz, through its Youth Council, has launched the program 'Actívate', in which 16 students participate.
This training program for employment is integrated by the itineraries of 'Local tourist promotion and visitor information' and 'Auxiliary operations of restaurant and bar'.
The 'Activate' program started this month of October and will conclude at the end of the year, once the participants have completed the theoretical modules and the internship period in companies in the locality and in the municipal department of Tourism.
This project, promoted by the Employment Service of the Department of Youth, has a budget of 35,840 euros, of which 32,933 have been funded through the line of grants from the European Social Fund to improve the ability of young people to enter the labor market. of 30 years, beneficiaries of the National Youth Guarantee System.
In addition to the specific knowledge of the hospitality and tourism branches, the 'Actívate' program includes complementary training, with courses on the use of new technologies applied to job search, English customer service and equal opportunities.
These projects within the framework of the National Juvenile Guarantee System have the purpose of taking advantage of the sectors with the greatest potential and probability of growth in each municipality to improve the opportunities of access to the labor market of those young people who are not currently working or studying.
Among the specific objectives, it is also possible to favor personal development and the ability to adapt to the environment of the participants, as well as to provide information on all available resources for job search.
