The Department of Tourism of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz closes this Sunday, October 21, the fifth edition of the program 'Guided tours and itineraries through the districts, the countryside and the vegetable garden of Caravaca.
To participate, it is necessary to make a reservation at the Municipal Tourism Office, located at Calle Las Mojas 17, or contact their technicians through 968 70 24 24 or email turismo@caravacadelacruz.es.
The last route of this year will start with the departure by bus from Salones Castillo de la Cruz, direction Arrabal de La Encarnación.
Next, there will be a 300-meter stretch on foot to visit the Barranco de los Canteros and the old quarries from where the stone was extracted from the great historic buildings of Caravaca de la Cruz.
After a lunch in the Social Center of the Los Prados hamlet, participants will get to know the 'Las tres Carrasquicas' riding arena and the Pablo Celdrán animal shelter in Cañada Lengua.
After lunch, the itinerary will continue at the Puente del Camino de Calasparra and in the quarries of 'El Caravacón' to end at the hermitage of San Sebastián de Caravaca.
The itineraries guided by the districts, the countryside and the vegetable garden of Caravaca are aimed at the family audience and are also attractive for lovers of natural areas and monumental, archaeological, ethnographic, gastronomic and anthropological resources.
The countryside and the districts, but also the vegetable garden of Caravaca, preserve some traditions, customs and monumental elements sometimes exclusive of the place and even of the Region, which provide signs of identity and sense of community to its inhabitants.
This year we have also included trips to areas of interest the neighboring municipalities of Moratalla, Cehegín and Calasparra.
The last itinerary of this fifth edition will start at 9.00 and end at 18.00.
The registration fee is 10 euros and includes guide, bus transportation and food based on typical cuisine.
If inclement weather prevented the normal development of the activity, the organization would contact the participants in the previous session.
