The program, which encourages healthy life habits through sports practice in nature, will end with the departure to the 'Cathedral of Hiking'
With the slogan 'What every Sunday we are your routine!', The Department of Sports of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz launches another edition of the municipal program of hiking 'D'Ruta', which has among its objectives to promote healthy habits of life through sports practice in nature.
The program consists of a total of seven routes through the towns of Caravaca de la Cruz and neighboring municipalities and provinces, including low, medium, medium-high and high intensity routes so that they can participate from people who want to start in the practice of hiking to sportsmen accustomed to mountaineering.
'D'Ruta' 2018/19 will start on November 11 with the route 'Retamalejo-Castillo de Celda' and will continue with the following routes: 'Cerro Trompetero y Gordo' (December 2), 'Revolcadores' (January 13) , 'Morrón de los Lobos y Rendija' (February 10), Sierra de María Natural Park (March 24) and Barranco de Hondares (May 12).
The Department of Sports will close the program 'D'Ruta' 2018/19 on 2 and 3 June with an exit to the enclave known as 'Catedral del Senderismo', located in the province of Alicante, in the vicinity of the Vall de Laguar , next to the population of Fleix.
Through this tortuous gorge of Barranco del Infierno, runs one of the most unique hiking trails in Spain, the PR-V 147 trail. It receives this name for its more than 6,800 steps excavated on its slopes by the Mozarabs, who save the climbs and Downs of the route.
Registration for the 'D'Ruta' program will take place on the Monday before each departure at the offices of the Municipal Sports Service, located in the Juan Antonio Corbalán pavilion, or through the web portal www.sporttia.com.
