The mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, José Moreno, along with councilors of the government team, has held a meeting with the spokesman of the Socialist Party in the Regional Assembly, Joaquín López, and with the deputies of the Socialist Parliamentary Group for the Northwest, Jesús Navarro and Choni Ludeña, who have moved to the Caravaqueño Consistory in order to know first hand the needs raised by the municipal government.
José Moreno has stated that the municipality suffers from necessary infrastructure, which can not wait any longer, as is the case of the splitting of the entrance to Caravaca de la Cruz by the Northwest motorway: "a city that wants to be a tourist reference must have quick access, something that is also important for the neighbors themselves, as they suffer withholdings when leaving or entering work ".
Likewise, José Moreno has transferred to the Socialist deputies that Caravaca de la Cruz should have a plan for the rehabilitation of the heritage and historic center, including special aids for its revitalization.
In this regard, he noted that "our city was referenced in 2017 as a tourist engine for the entire Region of Murcia and this must have a return in the form of investments by the regional government."
Another issue addressed has been the convenience of the Mancomunidad de Canales del Taibilla (MCT) supplying potable water to the industrial estate of Venta Cavila and the districts, "since the development of these areas can not be diminished by lack of something so basic as water ", according to the mayor, who has shown his gratitude to the deputies for the visit made to study the demands that are on the table.
