About thirty young people have been trained this summer as monitors for leisure and free time through the course co-financed by the municipalities of Caravaca de la Cruz and Cehegín and the General Directorate of Youth of the Region of Murcia.
The course has been developed within the framework of the 'Soy Monitor' program, in which more than 300 young people from the Region have participated.
The collaboration established between the town councils and the General Directorate of Youth has made it possible to significantly reduce the price of tuition and that young people have access to quality and highly demanded training, which opens up new professional opportunities.
This has been explained, during the closing ceremony held at the Youth Center of Caravaca, the councilors responsible for the Youth areas in the Consulates of Caravaca de la Cruz and Cehegín, Esther Poveda and Maravillas Fernández, respectively, and the General Director of Youth of the Autonomous Community, Fran Sánchez.
During the course, the School of Training 'El Molino' has shown the students multiple tools and resources to direct socio-cultural and recreational activities, of special interest for children and youth, both in the urban environment and in nature.
