The general director of Roads, Francisco González, and the councilors of the City council of Caravaca of the Cross of Urbanism and Works, Enrique Sources, and Services and Pedanías, Jesus Sanchez, have supervised the works that are executing in the regional network of highways to its passage through the municipality.
The maintenance contract for the regional highways located in the Northwest Region amounts to 3.4 million euros, which will allow actions to improve road safety in the period of three years.
This year, one and a half million euros will be invested, with works on 200 kilometers of cataloged level 3 roads, corresponding to rural roads and crossings.
Currently working on the RM 730, as it passes through Caravaca, from kilometer 12, to improve conditions and strength of the road surface, and also in the RM 703, with construction of retaining walls to prevent slope detachments.
During the meeting held at the Road Conservation Center, located in the Santa Inés polygon caravaqueño, Councilman Enrique Fuentes has moved some of the needs of the municipality in this matter, as the split of the entrance to the urban area and the importance of continue improving the safety of the crossings of the districts, with overhangs, traffic lights and repair pavements.
Also, the councilman of Urbanism and Works has recalled the project of Autovía del Norte and the commitment that the first stretch to be executed is that of Caravaca-Industrial Estate Sale Cavila.
