The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed the operation 'MOJANTES', an investigation aimed at clarifying the murder of an elderly person in the caravan of Archivel, which has been settled with the identification, location and detention of his alleged Author.
The morning of last Saturday, July 7, in a spot of Archivel-Caravaca de la Cruz was found the lifeless body of an elderly person.
The Civil Guard, after being alerted of the event, activated the protocol foreseen for these cases.
Once in the place, the agents detected that it could be a death of violent origin, so they carried out an exhaustive technical-ocular inspection of the crime scene in order to gather all the possible indications to clarify the criminal act.
As a result of the first investigations carried out, a few hours after the discovery of the body, the Benemérita identified a neighbor of the locality that, presumably, could be found after the authorship of the homicide, which would have occurred during some type of related discussion with the farm where the events occurred.
The Civil Guards centered the investigation, without discarding other hypotheses, on the suspect, who had left the town precipitously, and then initiated a broad search device that has proved extremely difficult, given the personal circumstances of the alleged murderer, who took advantage of his perfect knowledge of the land near the place of events to hide.
The device has concluded this morning, when the civil guards have located and detained in Archivel the alleged perpetrator of the homicide, although with this detention the investigation is not considered finished and work is continuing to close it completely
The agents have used trained dogs in the tracking of people, aerial means and other special technical equipment to be able to locate the now detainee.
The Spanish arrested, of 67 years and neighbor of Archivel, the seized effects and the educated diligences have been made available to the Court of Instruction of Caravaca de la Cruz (Murcia).
