The Ministry of Education will renovate the windows and doors of the IES San Juan de la Cruz, with a total investment of 298,000 euros.
This project was presented during the visit made to the caravaqueño institute by the general directors of Educational Centers and Vocational Training of the Autonomous Community, María Remedios Lajara and Sergio López, accompanied by the councilors of Caravaca de la Cruz Town Council Enrique Fuentes and Pedro Antonio Muñoz, and the center's management team.
The Town Planning Councilor, Enrique Fuentes, stressed that this is a necessary action and demanded by the center and the City Council itself.
The San Juan de la Cruz Institute, Fuentes added, is 50 years old and therefore has another series of imperative needs, such as the reform of the roof of the building. "" In the previous meeting we held with representatives of the Ministry of Education we have claimed more investments that we hope will be carried out as soon as possible, "he said.
The replacement works of 180 windows, with shutters and security glass, and the 10 doors of the main building are in the recruitment phase and are expected to begin in about three months, as reported by the general director of Centers Educational, which has indicated that this action "will achieve an adequate thermal insulation, which will favor energy efficiency, will allow to have an important saving of light and will provide greater comfort to the building".
